Yoga for Teens

Come join the fun as we practice yoga geared towards teens. This is a gentle introduction to the basics of Hatha Yoga. You will learn postures and modifications with an emphasis on mindfulness and honoring your own body. You don’t need to be familiar with yoga or be flexible to start; you just need an openness to learn something new. This gentle flow to music offers a healthy, non-competitive way to breathe, move, and stretch deeply. You will practice meditative movements to build strength and flexibility while promoting focus and inner calm. Yoga is a great way to relieve stress and reduce anxiety all while having fun at the same time. Many celebrities practice yoga including Beyonce, LeBron James, Miley Cyrus and the whole Seattle Seahawks professional football team! Come See what it is all about.

When: Yoga will be offered on Thursdays right after school from 3:10 p.m. to 3:55 p.m. Yoga for Teens runs from September through February. Our first meeting will be Thursday September 14th.
