Math Quest Summer Academy

In an effort to support student growth, Norton Middle School is offering an additional opportunity for students to strengthen foundational skills, gain valuable practice, and build strategies for future academic success.

The Middle School Math Summer Program is designed to provide a supportive and engaging environment where students can enhance their math understanding, close learning gaps, and grow in confidence. Through in-person interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and personalized instruction, the program focuses on reinforcing key math concepts and preparing students for the challenges of the upcoming school year. Our goal is to help students approach mathematics with a sense of competence, curiosity, and readiness.

Program Expectations

Attendance, Grading and behavior

To get the most out of the program, we strongly encourage full attendance. Unlike traditional summer school programs, there are no final exams or passing grades. Instead, students will receive meaningful feedback on their work to help deepen understanding and support continuous improvement.

All students participating in the NMS Summer School Program must follow the rules outlined in the 2024–2025 Student Handbook. Respect for teachers and peers is expected at all times. Disruptions that interfere with teaching and learning can  not be tolerated. Our goal is to maintain a positive, focused environment where all students can grow. Students who do not meet behavior expectations may be dismissed from the program and will need to be picked up
