Dear Grade 8 Families and Students,
We are excited to announce this year’s Grade 8 Dinner Dance, which will be held on Monday, June 16th from 6:00–9:00 PM at Norton Middle School. This much-anticipated tradition is our student-focused, end-of-middle-school celebration, and we hope every student in the Class of 2029 will join us for this memorable night!
While our students will go on to earn many significant honors and recognitions in high school and beyond, there is no such thing as an 8th-grade diploma so instead, we mark this important milestone with an unforgettable evening of fun, friendship, and celebration.
This year's theme is:
🎭 Tropical Night Gala 🌴
Dress Code:
Semi-formal or tropical casual attire
Event Highlights Include:
🍝 Italian buffet dinner
🎶 DJ and dancing
📸 Photo booth
🍦 Ice cream truck
🎨 Caricature artist
🎁 A small parting gift for each student, courtesy of the NMS Parent Board
Best of all, this event is completely FREE thanks to the generosity and hard work of the Norton Middle School Parent Board (NMSPB). They fund, plan, and coordinate this entire experience for our students. We are incredibly grateful for their continued support!
Permission Slip:
Please find the permission slip attached to this email. Hard copies will also be distributed in school on Monday June 2. All students must return a signed permission slip in order to attend, as this helps us with food and event planning.
As we prepare to celebrate this special class, we’d also like to recognize what a wonderful group of students they have been. We are proud of them and excited for their next chapter in high school.
Parent Volunteers Needed:
The NMSPB is looking for volunteers to help on the night of the event. If you're interested and available, please sign up using the link below:
