Grade 6 Welcome Social August 27

The Norton Middle School Parent Board and NMS Staff is pleased to present 

The 6th Grade Welcome Social

Date:    Wednesday August 27, 2025                                       

Time:  5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.   You can arrive whenever you want and stay for as long or as little as you like. 

Parents are welcomed and encouraged to stay and tour the building.  NMS is a beautiful place. 

* This is not a drop off event. 

What:   Open campus building tour, music and friends, plus a frozen treat!                             

Who:    All incoming 6th graders and their families

All incoming 6th grade students and their families are invited to attend the annual 6th Grade Welcome Social. You will have the opportunity to walk through the school to see the unit/team to which you’ve been assigned, locate your homeroom, the restrooms, the Specials wing etc… We will also have information about our various clubs and athletic programs available.  After touring the learning spaces, students may gather on the front lawn to enjoy a delicious frozen treat and some  music while reconnecting with some old friends and perhaps meeting some new ones. In addition, you can meet Principal Hayward and  Assistant Principal Mr. Goldstein, and maybe even some of your teachers!   There is no set start or end time, just the 5-6 p.m. window of time during which you can come and stay for as long or little as you like.

This is a FREE event for all incoming 6th graders. The Frozen treat is provided to all kids by the NMS Parent Board.

There will be a more formal and traditional Meet the Teachers night on Thursday September 25h for all grades. There our teachers will make presentations and discuss details about their particular class and content area.
